My vendor-show checklist

Before I book
Check table size, setup time and parking.
Check show rules, insurance, permits and power.
Check the weather and what your indoor or outdoor space needs.
Decide what to bring, your prices and your sales goal.
Take product photos and tell customers where you’ll be.
Practise a few different ways to say hello.
Ask before using table-leg risers. Use proper risers that stay steady and accessible.
My table setup
Make a business sign people can read.
Bring extra business cards so browsers can find you later.
Use a plain, solid-colour tablecloth so your products stand out.
Put your contact details or QR code beside your cards.
Ask about wrapped candy. Keep the bowl tidy and consider allergies.
Make a QR code for your shop or social page.
Try your display at a few different heights.
Make your prices easy to read from the aisle.
Choose price tags, group signs or prices on request. Compare your options first.
Use steady display risers so products are easy to see and reach.
Packing
Pack your plain tablecloth, approved table risers and display stands.
Count your change: small bills, coins and a safe cash pouch.
Pack logo bags or stickers, with two business cards per bag.
Bring two cards per bag, plus extras for the table.
Pack your stock list, products, bags, wrapping and gift packaging.
Pack change, your charged card reader, a power bank and your cash pouch.
Bring scissors, tape, zip ties, pens, clips and a cleaning cloth.
Check your cloth, price signs, cards, QR sign and approved candy bowl.
Pack spare ties, tape, scissors, charger and paper towels. Ask before using extension cords.
Bring a chair, water, snacks and what you need to stay comfortable.
Check your tent weights and rain or wind protection.
Show day
Ask a friendly question, listen and let people browse.
Keep the whole front clear: no bags, boxes, signs or loose cords in the aisle.
Send purchases home in a logo bag with two business cards.
Keep your change handy and your money and customer details safe.
Arrive early. Keep the front, walkways and emergency exits clear.
Test your card reader, phone connection and battery.
Put out cards, a QR sign and your approved wrapped-candy bowl.
Take a photo of your table before shoppers arrive.
Note what sells and what people ask. Try a different hello now and then.
After the show
Count your change separately from your sales.
Add up your sales, costs, remaining stock and card payments.
Pack carefully and leave your spot clean.
Thank the organizer and get back to customers who asked you to.
Write one thing to change for your next show.
